The Hebrew writing in the cross means, “The Lord: Our Righteousness”. It is a vivid depiction of the living word of God, that we must live by. It doesn’t make much sense to those who do not understand the things of God, that life would rise from death, not to mention the message that you must die so that you can live is foolishness to those who are perishing. It was through the cross that we found our root in God. And rooted and grounded in what he has said in his stablished and tried word is what we are, as we cling to the cross, and we know that as long as we do, we grow, and bear the peaceable fruit of righteousness.
